About the Club

Not everyone knows that Stodola Club was founded in large part thanks to our Soviet friends…Really, I mean it. Our Eastern neighbours founded the Culture & Science Palace, but it's the wooden canteen where the Palace's builders used to eat. The first dances and cabaret nights were organised there, which began the Stodola Club - The Warsaw Polytechnic School Central Club. The official opening was on April 5th 1956.

Among many culture departments existing in the club music is the one of the most important one. With the time it became the Club's main activity?. Today 'concert' is one of the first thing when one thinks of Stodola.

The building that presently houses Stodola was built by students in 1972, and is has 2,500 m² of space and capacity to hold over 2,000 concert-goers. This is the fifth place the Club has called home. At first, Stodola was located in the heart of Warsaw by the Palace of Culture & Science in a barrak originally occupied by construction workers who were rebuilding Warsaw after the destruction of WWII.

"Stodola" is a highly organised company with vast experience in producing and presenting various events. The Club has qualified and experienced employees and has a long history of working with other contractors and other vendors that we use to achieve planned events. The staff is chosen from the student societies - selected and trained by specialists.
