Asaf Avidan is an Israeli singer, songwriter, and composer, as well as the former frontman of the band Asaf Avidan & the Mojos. The key elements of his work include folk, rock, and blues. He was born in Jerusalem to a diplomatic family but spent his early years in Jamaica. His debut was the 2006 mini-album "Now That You're Leaving," which featured songs written after the end of his long-term relationship. The artist was supported by fellow musicians during his initial concerts, which led to the formation of Asaf Avidan & the Mojos. The group's first album, titled "The Reckoning," was released in 2008 and achieved gold status. After releasing three albums, the band went on hiatus, but Asaf Avidan decided to continue his solo career. A breakthrough came in 2012 when the song "The Reckoning Song" was remixed by Berlin producer DJ Wankelmute and released as "One Day." The recording gained immense popularity and reached the top of the charts in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. The artist's next four solo albums solidified his position in the music scene and garnered acclaim from audiences worldwide. Avidan's latest release is the album titled "Live At the Acropolis," recorded during a concert in Athens.
