Skillet is one of the most successful rock bands of the XXI century - selling 11 million records with two Grammy nominations the group will retun to Poland for two concerts - in Warsaw and Krakow.
Skillet was founded in Memphis in 1996. The authors of the hit "Monster" (57 million views on Spotify and 2.5 million singles sold) will release their ninth album „Unleashed” on August 5 and promise this to be louder than their previous efforts. Band member John Cooper said this about the new release: "After the premiere of 'Rise' I did not want to make our next album so emotionally heavy. I wanted for people to feel connected with each other and with the music, to have good fun, and many songs will allow fans to sing along with us.”
Two albums of the band: "Collide" and "Comatose" were nominated for a Grammy, "Awake" and "Comatose” gained platinum status in the US. Stars of Impact Festival and club concert from 2014 will visit our country once again, this time under the "Unleashed Tour 2016" project, promoting a new album.
Supporting Skillet will be the Billboard Award winner for best album of the Christian year - Red Sun Rising. Hailing from artistically strong Akron, Ohio, the team will present, among others, material from the album released a year ago, "Polyester Zeal", which was produced in Los Angeles and climbed to the 11th place of sale in the US in the Hard Rock category. „What we do is not a contemporary rock music, it's more a new alternative. Through our songs we want to tell stories that will move the audience." - declares lead singer and guitarist, Mike Protich. This will be the first appearance in Poland from post-grunge Red Sun Rising.
