The band members are four guys from Lithuania, a country sitting right at Europe's geographical centre.
THE ROOP certainly take their work seriously. This new, fresh-sounding pop rock band released their debut single "Be Mine" in November of 2014 but don't be mistaken – they're far from being inexperienced. They spent almost four years in the studio looking for that perfect sound - writing 50 songs in the process before finally deciding on 10 good enough for their debut album "To Whom It May Concern". Record came out on November 30th, 2015.
„This album is a piece into which we put all of our thoughts and ideas. Countless nights were spent for the sake of it and innumerable amount of coffee has been drunk. This is our musical dream that came true. We really hope that people who love music will enjoy our dream“, – said THE ROOP lead vocalist Vaidotas Valiukevičius.
The video of “Not Too Late”, which came out in the late October of 2015, contains the latest technologies in video shooting and allows the viewer to undergo a whole new experience in video watching.
What they and the team of the WIDE WINGS creative studio did is a combination of two complex technologies in one music video – 360 degree shooting and animation.
Therefore, today THE ROOP can be proud of becoming the first ones in the whole world to have this type of music video with their song “Not Too Late”.
All members of the band have been previously active in other music-related projects and the lead singer is also known as a TV host and an actor.
THE ROOP is very much their labour of love. „We didn't rush things. We just gathered to try and create music that we would be satisfied with, as opposed to some hit-and-miss stuff we were separately playing in the past“, lead singer Vaidotas  explains.
An extra touch was added by Australian Leon Zervos – top mastering engineer who has worked with INXS, Aerosmith, Muse and many other music's biggest names.
THE ROOP say their mission is to raise discussion about social phenomena and problems – using both music and images.
Music with a message, delivered with the right set of skills and ambition. What else could we ask for?
