On November 17th in Stodoła we will have a pleasant opportunity to see and hear the Polish group IRA again. Their albums always sell thousands of copies, and the variety of music styles the band uses is constantly bringing them new followers among both heavy music fans and rock ballad lovers.
Apart from achieving three golden albums and one platinum, the band have played at some of the biggest rock festivals in Poland - Festiwal w Jarocinie, Przystanek Woodstock and Odjazdy. In 1994 they also played as support for Aerosmith.
The bands newest album X has just had its premiere – it hit the market on April 16th, last month. The group have put a lot of work and studio time into the album, reaching somewhere where they hadn‘t yet spanned in their 25-year history. Apart from ten premiere songs, fans will find a separate CD with English versions of the bands top hits as well as some of the new songs.
The Colonists will play as support before IRA! The band consists of five rock men from Wrocław. They play modern rock that can be compared to Nickelback or Creed. In 2012 they were named one of the most promising bands of the year. One of their most important achievements was taking part in IRA's tour celebrating the bands 25th anniversary.
Another support band will be a group form Cracow – Clock Machine! They say that the band consists of four healthy guys who have decided to grab some instruments. Among their inspirations they enumerate classic rock bands, like Led Zeppelin and Guns’n’Roses. They are brave and uncompromising. Thanks to the fans’ votes, they had a chance to play at Orange Warsaw Festival in 2012. You might see them at Stodoła on October 17th.
