LIVEUROPE SHOWCASE - next artists

Today we would like to present profiles of another four artists, who will perform on Liveurope Showcase September 10th and 11th in the Stodola club.

Sept. , 10th

Rubber dots (PL)
Progressive electronica & post-coolwave duo founded in 2010. Their last album MKULTRA redefined their previous work. The result is a compact and coherent LP, containing a dark, disturbing and nostalgic compositions. The progressive songs managed to keep the movement - thanks to uneven bits, overdrives and a dirty electronic sound. Within four years Rubber dots have released two full length albums (Rubber dots 2011, Mkultra 2014) and two EPs (LowTek and ...--- 2013). They have played at the biggest festivals in Poland (Open’er Festival, Audioriver Selector, Coke Live, Free Form, Spring Break), and shared the stage with the likes of Crystal Fighters several times.

FREQUENCY (SK)
Group from Slovakia that defines it work as an alternative pop and space rock. The band consists of singer Majo Jenčo, Domino Šandor – guitar, keyboard, Philip Zubko - drums and Marek Nguyen - bass. In 2012 they released EP Red'oMetry. In April 2015 FREQUENCY released debut album Moon Starter.

JoyCut (IT)
JoyCut looks and sounds very attractive on stage. Two drummers sitting face to face and a guy with machines, both a conductor and author in between them. Electronic and dark-wave, often experimental but always accessible. In 2014 they played more than 150 concerts among U.S. + Canada + Europe. The band has recently supported The Chemical Brothers Italian tour. JoyCut has been invited to play @ Europavox, Monkey Week, Co2penhagen Festival, SXSW (2014, 2015), Les Nuits, Waves Vienna & Bratislava, CMJ, Eurosonic, Rock For People, Tallinn Music Week, Liverpool Sound City, Galapagai, Festival Indigènes, Chorus Festival ... JoyCut has a green philosophy and all of his production is 100% tied to our sustainable future.

Patrick The Pan (PL)
Americans with admiration say about artist like Patrick The Pan “self-made man”. Piotr Madej, because this is his real name, composed, played, sang and recorded his debut album by himself, in his flat in Cracow, but it was enough to impress listeners and media. No wonder: the combination of compositional talent and sensitivity, like this, does not happen often.
