Mudhoney returns to Europe after four years, with their new tour! The band will play in many countries, including Poland, at Warsaw’s Stodoła club.
Consisting of Mark Arm, Steve Turner, Dan Peters, and Matt Lukin, this four-person band was found in 1988, although the musicians had begun working together at the beginning of the 80s.
Mudhoney was one of their multiple projects, and the band never believed it would go on for longer than six months. They carried on their punk-metal style from their previous bands, which was very characterisitc for the 60s. Mudhoney is one of the key bands in the history of creation of grunge music in the 90s.
In 1989 the band went on their first European tour. The British fell in love with them from the very start, making them stay in the countries top charts for most of the year. With no time to waste, the band went on another tour, which, thanks to the press, brought a vast amount of fans, gathering them together during concerts.
Ignoring their critical time when one of the band members left the band, they did not give up and Matt Lukin’s place was taken over by Guy Maddison.
The band has got a total of eight studio albums. The most recent one, recorded in 2008, goes back to the band’s roots.
Mudhoney is due to play at Stodoła on May 28, 2013.
The polish band Destructive Daisy will play as support for the band from Seattle. The band consists of Audri Roos, the lead singer, guitarist Magda Dams, base player Kleo Malinowska, and percusionist Ada Dobrowolska. The bands first EP came our last year. The girls play grunge and garage punk inspired by Seattle and Riot Grrrls.
